Heisman Winner Signs Lucrative Deal
USC quarterback Caleb Williams has signed a four-year, $39.4 million contract with the Chicago Bears, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal includes a $25.5 million signing bonus and is fully guaranteed.
Salary Cap Impact
Williams' contract will count $10.3 million against the Bears' salary cap in 2024, $12.9 million in 2025, $15.4 million in 2026, and $17.9 million in 2027. His dead money figure (the amount of cap space that would be lost if he were released) is $25.5 million.
Rookie Contract
Rookies reported to Bears training camp on Tuesday and Williams signed his rookie deal. The Bears drafted Williams with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Other Deals
In addition to his NFL contract, Williams has also inked a season-long NIL deal with United Airlines.
